It's a tranquil restored japanese house that used to be the place for soldiers to meet their future wives back in the day. The japanese garden is nicely maintained (probably not to japanese standards but still pretty). The koi pond is filled with beautiful large and small koi fish. The green house houses a Chinese restaurant with slightly higher end prices where you can dine with greenery all around you. We opted for the bookstore tea house where there's a minimum order of 2 drinks. For lunch there's a sashimi set and japanese steak set that includes dessert and a drink for 780. For the afternoon tea you have a light meal of udon soup or creamy Japanese style udon and some other dishes with a coffee/black tea for 350. An espresso is 120 and coffee is normally 150. Food is alright but it's quite nice to dine next to the japanese doors next to all the greenery. You can reserve a tatami room if you have a larger groupm Credit cards accepted.

Nice restaurant with a garden view and fair Chinese food. Very recommend, especially if you have a budget price and need some cost/value decision restaurant.

Good and unique place for wedding in Taipei! It's convenient (near to MRT 中正紀念堂 station). Japanese style house was beautiful. Staffs and service were friendly. Chinese cuisine was nice, especially the chicken soup and pudding. Had a awesome and wonderful wedding experience.
