Neihu District, Taipei City｜飯BAR 內湖創始店

When I first moved to Taiwan, an old friend who works and lives in Neihu introduced me to this place. I enjoyed it so much, I visited thrice more, first time with my then boyfriend, second with him and our AIT friend, and finally , with him and my just-deceased mother. I also ate at their new location in Xinyi twice, but this original location is my absolute favorite as it is the first Chinese nouvelle cuisine restaurant I fell in love with. Digged the chic all-white décor with a lot of greenery artfully hanging on the walls and ceiling. It allowed you to put focus on the food itself, which is what we are supposed to do when dining (although I noticed they had renovated little by little on my subsequent visits, probably to match that of the Xinyi location). Excellent food presented in creative ways. Make sure you leave room in your stomach, because their tiramisu prepared tableside would be a grand finale not to be missed. Generally good service. After moving back from the United States, this was the first restaurant that made me fall in love with Chinese creative cuisine. When my school sister who lives in Neihu took me to eat here for the first time, I remember that the interior design of the restaurant was all white, with hanging or suspended green plants. As decoration, the overall visual effect is fashionable, bright and spacious, and the focus is on the dishes themselves. However, every time I go there, I feel that the decoration is a little different, and I slowly change the colors. Maybe it is to match the decoration of the Xinyi store I have eaten at twice. . When it comes to food, even my mother, who has run two restaurants and insists on buying the best ingredients, approves of it. Unfortunately, my mother just passed away, otherwise I originally planned to go to the Neihu store to celebrate Mother's Day. The third time with my boyfriend who recently broke up, and the fourth time with my friends from the American Institute in Taiwan. Everyone thought this restaurant was delicious, so they highly recommended it!

Surprisingly, it turned to be a delectable eatery. Kind service and tasty dishes! The noise level was a little too high unfortunately!

Very creative fusion food. Restaurant decoration and service are both nice. A good place to have friends gathering.
