We came to this restaurant for supper after our night walking tour. The atmosphere was great and the boss was super friendly and evidently takes pride in making food. We tried all the snacks - scallion pancake, scones and french toast. They were all really good! Looking forward to trying the mains if we visit Jiufen again!

A fun and cozy place to chill and enjoy some fusion food from the owner who just start the cooking in the recent years. It was late and we are hungry after the night tour. The owner is a chill guy, really outgoing and love to chat with everyone. Talked to us about how Covid affects the area and why they decided to move back. It is a place you can feel the hostility of the Taiwanese :) which we love it. The food is interesting. It tastes good but I never had this kind of food before. I thought the green onion cake will be the typical flat and round but it is like a deep fried one. The toast is good with the maple syrup. It is fun to eat some different type of food and enjoy the late night atmosphere in Jiufen:)

What an absolute gem! We had such a great experience here. The chef is amazing (he has some training by top chefs globally) and he’s so passionate and attentive about his food. Each dish has a story! We did use google translate for the menu as there’s no English. You have to get 1. Scallion pancake 2. Scone 3. French toast In that order of preference. There’s also an interesting sparkling cocktail with a local gold flaked liquor. We wish we hadn’t eaten so much during the day so that we could eat more. We just shared those items and the stinky tofu (which is an acquirer taste). I’m vegetarian and he made an effort to check them m options for me. I would have loved the noodle dish but it’s cooked in pork fat oil. Sounded really good though! Such a small and special place. Incredible service. Highlight meal of the trip. Try to go on an empty belly!
