West Central District, Tainan City｜筑馨居

I fell in love with Xinyi Street in Tainan and like walking in the quiet alleys. This restaurant is also located in this small street. It is a century-old house that has been preserved from the Qing Dynasty. It is quite famous for its reservation-only no-menu cuisine. The dishes are Mainly home-cooked dishes, seven dishes and one soup + dessert (Fucheng's thick bean curd) + a bottle of hot tea, the CP value is beyond the charts and only costs $500 per person. Every meal is easy to eat and delicious, especially " The "Dongpo Pork" and "Milkfish Navel" are so delicious, but the dishes are not fixed. The entire restaurant environment is antique and the room is too deep. There is also a room behind the kitchen where many old antiques are stored and displayed. I really recommend this no-menu restaurant.

Distinctive Tainan cuisine.

Tasting menu is great. Not really a tasting menu but a set menu. Only a handful of tables so reservations are a must. Food is great. Service is great. Price is great. Take a bus or taxi if you don’t have a scooter. Not much parking nearby.
