West District, Chiayi City｜Silly Master Soup Dumplings

Great supper place! Taiwan really takes care of 夜猫子 (those that hang out late). You can still find eateries open around midnight and you can get local eats at very friendly prices! Where can you get 7 tasty 汤包 (handmade soup dumpling) for NT60 / ingredients filled 酸辣汤 (spicy sour soup) for NT40 / 贡丸汤 (meatball soup) for NT30?! @Chiayi Silly Master Soup Dumplings

Had some sweet and sour soup, beef soup dumplings, shaomai and shrimp dumplings. The soup was great and the portion was twice the size of the ones I got used to in Taipei. One long (一籠) , i.e. 7 pieces of dumplings are around 60-70NTD, the absolute best was the beef ones. The shaomai was a bit bland, but the shrimp ones had a quite unique, yet enjoyable seasoning.

walked across this shop and decided to give it a shot. The service is good. This is worth it.
