East District, Chiayi City｜山仔頂甕仔雞

Ate here twice and had claypot chicken and tons of vegetables and a few beers. The food is the best I had in Taiwan. The pace of the restaurant is everything done at light speed, , which adds to the atmosphere. If you're at the front at the right time you can see the flaming claypots coming out of the oven. Really loved it here and considering there were five of us we've we had easily enough food for eight or nine people the price was really reasonable. I'd go back to Taiwan just to eat here again, genuinely.

The best chicken restaurant in Chiayi, but don't just come here for the chicken. The vegetable dishes are numerous and superb. Don't miss the mountain pig either. The menu contains a large variety of traditional Taiwanese foods that are as delightful as the beautiful view of Lantan across the road. This is a great place to spend an afternoon or evening, surrounded by lots of food, friends and beer.

Amazingly delicious. Highly recommended to everyone. They offer many side options, including vegetables and seafood. Awesome!!
