Baihe District, Tainan City｜關子嶺紅雞城（甕窯雞）

After a good rest around this area and we found out this restaurant thru Google map.. Well.. I've ordered 3 dishes as chicken , vegetables and fried rice and it came out 5 dishes.. Haha.. the soup and the potatoes are FOC.. Taste are good.. Clean and with air-conditioning.. They explained very well to us as we are tourists.. Prices are reasonable..

The chicken was tender with crispy skin, the perfectly seasoned sweet potatoes were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, and the bamboo soup was refreshing and hydrating after a morning of hiking. Ate here two days in a row with consistent quality.

After visiting Toong mao hot spring resort, we stopped here for lunch. It's a family run restaurant with a laid back local feel. Fortunately we went with Taiwanese friends and didn't have to order for ourselves! Note the menu is only in Chinese. The meiziji (chinese plum chicken) is their specialty and it didn't disappoint. The half roast chicken was my favourite and came with this amazing sauce that is so addictive! The qingcai (green vegetables) were also very tasty. I'd come here again.
