Shalu District, Taichung City｜Meizi Huo Seafood Restaurant

This is a wonderful restaurant in Shalu, Taichung, run by a family for over 30 years, serving fabulous lobster sashimi, exquisite Three Cup Penghu Grouper (best Three Cup anything, ever!), marvelous shrimp fried rice, yummy crab with roe, scrumptious giant baked cheesy prawn, totally delicious salted pork belly, fragrant lobster soup, and many other dishes. The owner is charming and knowledgeable, and this place is definitely worth a trip to Sand Deer.

The ingredients are very fresh. Although the price is not close to the people, it is worth it. We ordered the dishes at 6000/table. Originally, we asked the boss to cook for us at 7000/table. Please ask the boss to help us make it better. The boss is very honest and told us that 6000/table is enough for us. The second photo is a soft-shell crab bun. The soft-shell crab is delicious and can be swallowed completely. The bun is deep-fried and a bit oily. The third photo is beef tendon in tomato sauce. I have to say that although this dish is the only beef dish in Meizi Restaurant, it is not sloppy, the tendons are evenly distributed, it melts in the mouth, and the thickness is not thin. The other ones that were not photographed are also delicious.
