The well-known meat-free restaurant in Shalu City, Taichung, is located on the roadside near the busy Taiwan Avenue Land Bridge and Zhongshan Road, opposite a hospital and a convenience store. When it opened at 5pm, there was already a long queue. It was a takeout queue, and there were quite a few people buying. After you find a seat inside, you just need to fill in the form and sign the table sign, and the waiter will bring the dishes to the table. The store owner is friendly and polite, and asks for warmth when delivering the meal. I just happened to see an elderly person ordering food directly inside, and he was very patient in helping to fill in the order. It is really a great store. Logically speaking, the store's signature dish is braised pork rice, which should be ordered first, but when I saw that the neighboring table ordered leg meat rice with bones and shrimp rice, I was shaken. Also because the store said the pig's feet would need to be braised for a while, I changed it to leg meat rice and hamstring rice. As expected, I didn't lose points. The lean meat was tender and tender, and the hamstrings were not too soft for my liking. The braised cabbage is delicious. The waiter recommended the braised tofu, but unfortunately I can’t eat it anymore. Because when I ordered the meal, I thought the bowl of rice would not be too big, but it was actually a very solid bowl. When I heard the little girl at the next table say that it’s not inferior to Tainan Shrimp Rice, I was moved and will definitely order it next time.

My brother has loved this restaurant’s Zuoku rice since he was a child. Although it has been on the roadside since he was a child, its delicious food is still standing in Shalu. Especially the black and ugly self-fried chili radish is the best I have ever eaten in Shalu. Of course, there is also my favorite braised pork rice in their restaurant.
