Same o’ 霸味薑母鴨. Consistent flavorful ginger duck hotpot. Spacious compared to other similar joints. One of my fav Taiwanese ginger duck hotpot restaurants. Menu is a bit limited perhaps due to the supply constraint there were a few of my fav ingredients unavailable. Nonetheless, yup recommended. Perfect for a cold evening feast.

The Taiwanese main store of Bawei Ginger Duck is located on Sanchongyang Road, about 7 minutes away from the MRT Sanchong Elementary School Station. Every time the weather gets cold in winter, there will be a crowd of people in front of the store. This is almost always the case every winter. The popular Ginger Duck has three stores, and even the second and third floors of the one on the far right are dining areas. Even if there are tables and chairs on the arcade, it can't absorb the long queues of people waiting. Stores that serve ginger duck or mutton stoves will need a lot of old ginger, and if it’s not old ginger, the taste won’t be right. The duck meat is first fried with sesame oil until fragrant. The sesame oil used comes from an old oil factory with inspection certificate in Beigang, Yunlin. Stir-fry with sesame oil to lock in the sweetness of the duck meat, and add more than ten kinds of Chinese medicine such as pepper and cinnamon to stew it. The duck meat of the Bawei Ginger Duck is cut into large pieces, and the portion is quite large. To be honest, this pot of duck meat is worth queuing for! The duck meat is stewed until it is soft and tender. There is no dryness in the impression of duck meat. It has a little toughness but does not require too much effort. The soup is rich. I really recommend it.
