Beitou District, Taipei City｜Fo Guang Shan Anguo Temple

Had a very pleasant dinner here, in this small and cozy restaurant overlooking Beitou ~ we had to wait 30min as it was quite busy and small, but the beautiful temple outside made it easy to relax and wait. As for the food, it was all very yummy ~ the fried dumplings were delicious with spicy soy sauce, the coconut milk curry was creamy with lots of eggplant and veggies, and the curry cheese gratin was decadent and piping hot out of the oven. Dishes also came with free soup, and the gratin with a beverage. The one thing is the timing of the dishes was a bit off as we had to wait 15-20 between, but we're patient folk~ the night view is very beautiful and the staff are very kind and courteous too 😊

The best 麻酱面 (sesame sauce noodles) I've had in Taiwan! I enjoyed the gyoza too. They have a good variety of vegan options. Love this quaint cafe set in a temple with mountains and a gorgeous city view. The servers were kind and helpful despite the busyness!

Delicious vegetarian cuisine. Love the fried dumplings, vegetable soup, and curry rice with grilled cheese.
