Beitou District, Taipei City｜吉園葡花園野菜餐廳

This place specializes in 野菜 which translates to “wild veggies”. You seriously won’t find the veggies served here anywhere outside of the Yanming Mountain area. There was a 檳榔花 (betel nut flower) dish that I’ve never seen anywhere else before and it was like a tastier version of bamboo shoots. Everything on the menu was delicious and affordable. When I eat Chinese food with family we usually only do 1-2 veggie dishes to share but we ordered 4 veggie dishes here and regretted nothing. The yam ginger soup is also a treat. Wish I could come here all the time! Getting here is a bit of a hassle if you don’t have a car, but you can take a bus to Zhuzi Lake.
