Amazing Japanese food. The place is quaint with a lovely traditional flare. When we arrived, we were greeted by the chef who was very kind. He then put on traditional Japanese music, of the kayōkyoku style - thereby creating a wonderful atmosphere. My brother and I went with the traditional omakase menu (chef's choice) and had 6 courses, in addition to starting appetizers and delicious traditional dessert. Everything was very lovely and complimentary in taste. Fish tasted really fresh. My favourite course is the beef tofu soup - what was so special about it was the Chef diced up the tofu in such a way to create this beautiful blooming flower. When you take a bite of the tofu with the soup, every single silky strand is coated with flavour. Really hit my desire for that umami flavour. On another note, we spoke to the chef/owner after our meal to thank him and it was really a touching exchange. The pandemic really had a hard impact and given this restaurant's 40 year history, i do recommend people to come and support him. I hope we can see his business maintain itself and revive its glory days after the pandemic. Thank you for your culinary creations, I hope others will have the chance to sample it. Cheers!

The boss is kind and humorous Good service attitude The food is super fresh and awesome The taste of sashimi is extraordinary❤ The boss of the eel rice personally pulls out the thorns one by one, and the sauce is not something you can eat outside. The prawns inside the fried prawns are so tender that they squirt juice when you bite them~ You can’t help yourself when paired with the boss’s special sauce. Not to mention the steamed fish melts in your mouth The boss said the grilled/braised fish chin is amberjack chin😍rarely seen The above are all set meals, which were only released in the past 2-3 years. Since Kumaji Japanese Cuisine takes a refined route, I want to introduce the set menu that I order most often, which is 1200-5000. Since there are different things that are abundant at different times, they will change at any time. I recommend that friends who like to eat Japanese food but are not in a hurry give it a try. The ingredients are always fresh whether it is a set meal or a set meal. (Don’t ask me why I know so much because I have loved Japanese food since I was a child and I have eaten at many restaurants. In the end, I feel that this one near my home is the best, so I often take my friends there 😂 Even my friends who don’t like Japanese food fell in love with this restaurant when I dragged them to eat there.
