More Comments at Google MapThis place is absolutely a secret garden. The prime steak tasted just like the prime steak in LA and the chicken waffle tasted better than the Waffle House in LA which was very surprising. You gotta try their wheat beer, it tasted like a combo of Blue Moon and Sierra Nevada.
As an expat, sometimes you just miss certain flavors that isn’t always found in the local cuisine where you live. With Nola Kitchen in Taipei, I got my savory fix. Their chicken and waffles with maple syrup and peanut sauce is a perfect mix. The umami flavor of the breaded and boneless fried chicken complements the sweetness of the two kinds of sauce. I also loved their margherita pizza, their Jambalaya, and their chicken pineapple pasta—the last two are served with potato wedges that also taste fine. Their “Margaret Smoothie” (which is an iced margarita slushie) goes well with everything. It isn’t that cheap, but I would say the price is reasonable for the taste, the service, and the vibe. This is gonna be one of y new go-to places.
Love this local spot, food is amazing, service is even better. Best of all the food is always perfect. Great selection on the menu too. Whenever I’m in town this is a must have location.
