After a misty afternoon in Bitan spent paddling our little legs off on the riverboats, my date and I stopped at this delicious restaurant to enjoy some much-needed fuel. The couple who own the shop greeted us warmly and suggested some dishes to try. I had the fried yellowfish, which was absolutely scrumptious! The skin was so crispy and the flesh was remarkably juicy. I happily cleaned my plate haha 😄 My date had the braised pork, which smelled sooo good from across the table. I liked that the side dishes were different between the two meals, so we could share — I love taro and carrots, but my date hates them, so he exchanged that dish for some of my tomato eggs and it all worked out well. The green tea was fragrant, and you are able to choose the sweetness level (without sugar was quite nice for me, not bitter at all). I will definitely come back again to try all the other varieties of fish they offer, as the menu looked quite extensive. Other reviews mentioned that they grow their own vegetables, just like my family does back in the USA. The experience of eating here felt like I was in my parents' kitchen enjoying a homemade dinner cooked with love. Thanks for a delightful meal! 💚
