Husband and wife team. The menu changes every few months with the seasons. The food is well balanced, tastefully presented and consistently delicious. Places are limited every evening, so you are well advised to book in advance. Also has an excellent beer selection especially if you are a sour beer fan. A local favorite, don't miss it

Came here for New Year’s Eve dinner and was not disappointed. The pasta and rice dish were amazing; the only complaint is I wish I had more! The tiramisu was amazing and the owners were kind enough to provide us with complimentary ginger cookies. Be prepared to wait a little as they only have 2 people working and make their dishes fresh.

I went here many many times over the years I lived in Taipei. The first time was after my first big breakup, alone on Mid-Autumn Festival, and slowly enjoying my food while sitting by the window made me realize I'd be ok in the end. I've had Christmas lunch here, and birthday lunches before work, and meals with pretty much every friend I had in Taipei, and really grew to think of this as a home away from home. Forno and Stufa was always a balm to my soul when I felt down. Never go too hungry, or when you're in a rush, but when you want to celebrate with friends or lift yourself up on a bad day (or week). Bring a book, journal, let yourself slow down and stare out the window at the park while you wait for your meal. The owners are incredible and put a lot of love and thought into the food, thinking about the history of the dish and how to best replicate it with what's available in Taiwan. Definitely give them a chat it you can speak Chinese. I count them amongst my best friends in Taipei, and deeply miss being able to go there for a meal. Other pro-tips: 1. They'll always have one type of each dish: pasta, curry, soup, vegetarian If the veg is one of the previous three, there might be a surprise. 2. The menu rotates whenever the owner wants, so it's always fun to go back and try something new. 3. If you're actually mega hungry, get the set meal. The bake the bread in-house and it's effin amazing. (I grew up on homemade bread, my standards are high.) 4. Finish your food. They don't even have takeout containers ready. I didn't finish my first time, and then learned it's too precious to not finish. 5. If your first time isn't a mega hit, go again and try something new. The owner is always experimenting and 98% of the time it's a hit. 6. Please be nice! The owners seriously made their place my second home in Taipei, and I'm deeply grateful to have had them in my life.
