Da’an District, Taipei City｜NTU Female Dorm #9 Restaurant

Very good restaurant for lunch! The name of the place says female dorm restaurant, but anyone can go in. It's sort of buffet style, where you put whatever you want on your tray and then you pay based on how much everything weighs. When you walk in just grab a tray (or box for to-go) and a pair of tongs, and pick out whatever you want. Drop off your dirty tongs at the other end of the food table and go to the cashier to get your tray weighed! At the cashier is where you can ask for rice as well. There's a decent seating area upstairs, though it gets pretty full around noon. The food table looks small but there's still a lot of variety of different foods you can get, and everything is really good! There are a lot of vegetarian options available, including tofu, vegetable dishes, etc. I got a decent tray of food for about 120 NTD, which could be considered a little bit pricey by Taiwan standards, but you get to choose from a large variety so I think it's worth it. There's free soup upstairs too!

This is my everyday-lunch place. They use the weight of your order to determine the price of your order. They have a lot variety of food, and it’s not that expensive (at least if you don’t order too much or order food that adds to the weight)!
