tucked away near a fruit market (though it also smelt like fish), the taxi driver of ours did not know where to drop us off despite our directions to this secret italian gem. but once you find it, you've struck gold. i had my first ever charcuterie board at gusto's today. it was an impressive ensemble of cheeses, crackers, processed meats, fresh and dried tomatoes, olives, pickles, and more. the walls of gusto's were stacked to the ceiling with imported goods. much of what i was served was made with the surrounding ingredients on the racks. imported wine, more cheeses, and beautifully saturated processed meats engulfed me as i lost track of the luring foods around me and before me. after the "appetizer" (i ate so much of the charcuterie board i was worried i would not have room for the entres), the friendly waiter brought us baked eggplants covered with parmesan and then another two dishes of baked pasta. finally, to securely tip me over with a food coma -- but satisfyingly so -- i had a slice of their chocolate salami. if you ever get a chance to go to gusto's, go.

A great spot to find authentic Italian imports! This place doubles as a store and a bistro. Nice selection of wines and cured meats. The sandwiches are my favorites

Gusto is tucked out of the way, in a small lane. It's quite a surprise when you enter as it is larger than it seems from the outside. There are a great selection of food products imported directly from Italy, and also a very nice eating area. The menu is reasonably priced, but while not huge, really does give a taste of Italy. The food is excellent, and is really Italian Italian, rather than American Italian, if you know what I mean. The manager is very friendly and helpful. We had the Lasagne, a cold plate and Bruschettona Arancia & Ricotta. We will be back soon to try the other dishes on the menu.
