Simple home cooked dishes had an interesting concoction of taste. The bamboo rice was fragrant and the kids enjoyed the experience of cracking it open. The owners are a lovely and hospitable pair of old couples who came by to chat and even kindly offered a lift when we were stranded in the heavy rain. Highly recommended!

On the commercial street opposite Wulai Waterfall, there are three kinds of bamboo tube rice to choose from, and there are quite a few seats in the store. I ordered the bamboo tube rice set and the signature rice set, NT$200/portion. If you order bamboo tube rice, you can experience opening the bamboo tube rice yourself. There is a film inside the bamboo that will adhere to the rice and you can eat it. The meat and vegetables in the set meal are really large. It must be because the local Atayal people have been walking on mountain trails, moving a lot and eating a lot. For example, when I took a car to go up the mountain, there were too many dishes and I couldn't finish the bamboo shoot soup.

I had an amazing experience at this Wulai restaurant. The food was simply delicious and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Wulai cuisine.
