Visited this restaurant during one day city tour, few days before I leave Taiwan. It was one of the greatest meal I have had in Taiwan. The tofu, chicken, beef, and vegetables, everything were perfectly cooked and had a wonderful, flavorful taste, something I was looking for. I’m so grateful that the tour and travel company take me (and my friends) to have our lunch here!
Yayuan Cantonese Cuisine Hong Kong Style Drinking Tea was originally opened on Changchun Road for about 30 years, because after the lease expired, the landlord wanted to increase the price of the store, so the business was closed first. A year later, it finally moved to the current location opposite Exit 5 of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station. His Hong Kong-style Yum Cha is an affordable and delicious restaurant in Taipei, and he brings his own red and white wine, and there is no corkage fee. I seldom eat his big dishes, mostly Hong Kong dishes. The rice rolls are freshly made and very tender. I really like his rice rolls with chives and shrimps. When there are many people, I will add a pan-fried shrimp intestines. Pan-fried shrimp sausage has the burnt aroma of rice rolls and dried shrimp. I personally like it very much. It is also very suitable with red and white wine. Yayuan steamed live grouper, steamed one 590 yuan, is really very cheap in Taipei, and the sauce with Hong Kong-style steamed fish is really fresh. Yayuan radish and beef offal is a must-order every time. The heat of the beef offal is well controlled, soft but not rotten, juicy and rich in texture. The radish in the offal pot has absorbed the essence of the sauce and offal, it is fragrant but not spicy (for me) Yayuan Shrimp Dumplings are a must-order, with thin skin and plenty of fillings, large and plump. There are almost no mines in other ports, and they are all top-notch choices, and they are delicious if you order them casually. If you are afraid that you will not be full enough, dry roasted noodles and dry fried beef river, these two have a very fragrant wok gas, you must eat them while they are hot, the taste will be much less when they are cold.
