Very nice and classy restaurant. You will find some classics together with more modern dishes. The beef Wellington is simply amazing. Wine quite overpriced.

Came for Christmas and ordered the Beef Wellington. It is picture worth as it came with a cute little crown! Atmosphere was really good and loved the Christmas tree at the hotel lobby. It’s huge and well decorated.

It’s been a long time since I visited Bao Ai. This time it was lunch, and I ordered the Michelin Story Set Menu and another charcoal-grilled seafood plate lunch set. Every meal is quite satisfying. Let’s talk about the lunch set first. The appetizer “Grilled needlefish, soft salmon, grilled white cauliflower, pickled tomatoes, gherkin cold soup” (this is a dish, although the name is very long) is very good, and there are big gherkins. Aroma, fresh and refreshing. For soup, I chose pumpkin cappuccino which was quite satisfactory. The charcoal-grilled seafood plate for the main meal was outstanding, with fish, scallops, and crab cakes all equally impressive. Michelin Story Set Menu has an additional appetizer. Among them, "Boston Lobster and Potato Gnocchi" is amazing, with real ingredients and fine preparation; it is paired with tea-flavored seafood sauce (more like clear soup) and presented in a tea cup. It is recommended to drink it with it to give the gnocchi a rich and thick taste. Got a balance. I ordered the Rossini steak for the main course. It is relatively rare in Taiwan and it was also the first time I had it. I was very satisfied. It was basically a good combination, with top-quality filet mignon, duck liver and truffles stacked on top of each other. It’s also very difficult to taste delicious. The delicateness of the mashed potatoes is also beyond previous experience. Desserts are a little weak, there is only one lemon tart, which is delicious but there is no choice. In addition, I think the bread included in the front is slightly lower than the standard of other similar restaurants. If the overall review is strict, I would give it four stars, but Google gives it a slightly looser rating, so I would give it five stars.
