Songshan District, Taipei City｜New Hama Teppanyaki

Probably one of the best restaurants I have visited in Taiwan. The show cooking is just amazing! And the Taste was great as well! I highly recommend visiting this place. The desserts could have been a bit of a bigger variety but it really is not a big deal if you compare it to the actual main courses! Next time I am definitely coming back!

New Hama is the origin of Teppanyaki in Taiwan. Its dishes may be not that fancy but the dish design and taste are authentically great / balance. Lobster with cheese, clam soup, and the way they present the steak are awesome. We definitely will revisit this old friend all the time.

Reservations are a good idea on the weekend. You might also request to be seated with other adults if you go early lunch or dinner as there are a lot of family groups at the earlier seatings. Service is speedy and good. The food is solid but a little pricey. Materials are excellent. Lobster is great and the seafood overall is excellent quality abd cooked nicely. The lamb is the best I've had in Taipei. The beef is so tender and cooked perfectly. Really really good. If you have pick between the seafood and the meat, the meat is a good choice. Wow. Definitely a great overall experience for a nice luxury lunch or dinner.
