We stumbled upon this local gem and boy were we excited! Authentic indigenous foods. Professional and courteous staff with clear communication and introduction. All dishes were tasty in perfect presentation. Highly recommended and we surely visit again whenever we’re in Hualien. Just a side note. It’s kinda hard to spot at night since there wasn’t lit sign. It took us a bit to find it but it was all worthwhile.

Four of us traveled from Hong Kong to Hualien and tried aboriginal cuisine for the first time. We ordered 8 dishes, including stir-fried wild boar with late mountain flowers, golden clam soup, cold wild boar rinds, bitter gourd and salted eggs, stir-fried wild vegetables, wine-stuffed chicken, crispy fried Xiexian, and bamboo tube rice with abo. Everything was unique, delicious, and the ingredients were fresh. The four of us finished them all. The service staff are friendly and the overall dining environment is very good.

Incredible food and service. Great Amei tribe aboriginal dishes in a comfortable setting with indigenous decor. A great restaurant for a rest as you will be treated with only the best service and Indigenous food in the country. Beautiful handmade decorations and stunning paintings adorn the walls, adding to the rustic charm of the place. This restaurant has been operated by the same owner for 17 years and is well known by the locals. The service is also top notch. Highly recommended!
