Xinyi District, Taipei City｜Stand Up PLZ BBQ

This may be my favorite Korean BBQ so far in all of Taiwan! They make meat sooo good. You must take beef diaphragm (it’s on the list of recommendations). You eat while standing around the grill, but this actually brings a bit more ‘casual’ feeling and a good vibe. Staff is super nice. All in all we’ve been there 3 times in the past month alone 😋😋

Honestly the best Korean BBQ I have ever eaten in Taipei I just love it so much the drinks are also good I just hate the standing 😅 It gives like a classy feeling, but I was so tired standing for more than an hour especially after a workout It is also a bit on the expensive side but overall a good experience in this restaurant and will definitely come back here again!

There was always a line to get into this place so we thought it must be good! We went on a Friday night and the wait wasn’t too bad - around 20 mins - perhaps also because on Fridays and Saturdays there is a 90-min limit to dine. Servers were all friendly and will cook the meats for you. You can ask for an English menu - albeit handwritten, it’s definitely better than just guessing what you’re ordering. The meats were good quality and cooked tender, plus the beer was cold - pretty much all you need for a great barbecue restaurant experience. PS. For sides, try the delicious golden kimchi! Also this place is called ‘stand up and eat barbecue’ because that is literally what you’ll be doing. Not for those who can’t be on their feet as there really are no chairs. They do provide plastic bins to store your belongings, which are placed near your table.
