Hualien City, Hualien County｜Hao Zheng Dian

Found this place by chance as we were looking for a place for dinner. We were so impressed with the food. The service was so friendly too. Dishes came out so quick and fresh. Ordered Deep-fried Prawns with pineapple, Steamed Fish, Rice Rolls with Prawns, Chicken Dumplings with Spinach, all of which were delicious, especially the prawns as they were fresh and big. We’ll come back here again next time we are in town :)

Came here to have an early lunch ahead of my train back to Taipei, Apr 2023. Entered the shop without much expectations as it was the only place with ample indoor seating for me to wait out the time to my train. Service was attentive thanks to the buzzer button system, food was good albeit a little on the pricey side. Staff refilled my tea pot several times upon request. They serve pretty standard dim sum (yum cha), plus some interesting dishes like soft shell crab. Overall a good place to hang out, have some tea, fill your tummy, while waiting to board your train.
