More Comments at Google MapI recently had a delightful dining experience at Kaohsiung's Jing Hua Restaurant, where I tried their famous "Ping Jin Shuan Yang Rou" hot pot, which is a sumptuous combination of lamb and pork cooked in a bubbling pot of savory broth. This traditional Taiwanese dish is a true gastronomic adventure, and I couldn't help but share my enthusiastic recommendation, especially for foreign visitors to Taiwan. The moment I walked into Jing Hua Restaurant, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly staff made me feel at home and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The highlight, of course, was the Ping Jin Shuan Yang Rou hot pot. The thinly sliced lamb and pork were incredibly fresh and tender. The hot pot broth, enriched with aromatic herbs and spices, was a perfect complement to the meat, adding layers of flavor to every bite. What sets this dish apart is the side of sour vegetables and thinly sliced pork belly, which added a delightful contrast of textures and flavors to the meal. The vegetables were crisp, tangy, and a perfect match for the rich, savory meat. What truly impressed me was the interactive nature of the meal. I enjoyed cooking the ingredients myself in the simmering broth, allowing me to control the cooking time to my liking. It's a great bonding experience if you're dining with friends or family. I would highly recommend the Ping Jin Shuan Yang Rou hot pot at Jing Hua Restaurant to anyone visiting Taiwan. It's an authentic and mouthwatering taste of local cuisine that showcases Taiwan's culinary excellence. The flavors and textures are a testament to the rich culinary traditions of Taiwan and are sure to leave a lasting impression on your taste buds. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in this delightful dish and experience the warmth of Taiwanese hospitality at Jing Hua Restaurant.
This is one of the more traditional hot pot places you can go to. Having opened for over 80 years, yes 80, they sell hot pot in a copper pot that’s influenced or sold traditionally in China. Although their main meat is lamb, for those who don’t eat lamb like me, there are also options of beef and pork. And even if you share a pot with someone cooking lamb you won’t taste it. Another famous dish are the eggs cooked with chili, giving a taste of a spicy omelette. The beef stir fry was so good! Other things on the menu are scallion pancakes and a sweet fried bread. Last thing we tasted is a fried sweet potato. All in all, we averaged out 450 nt a person and was definitely worth it. Make sure you book in advance as their aren’t many tables available. This place is a minute walk from the mrt yanchengpu station on the Orange line
Delicious, tasty
