Lingya District, Kaohsiung City｜日月香越南料理(文化店)

Wow, I haven't been impressed by a restaurant in Taiwan in quite awhile... My partner was so surprised when I pulled out my phone to take a picture of the food... The restaurant interior is lovely and elegant and I expected the price to reflect that. However when the menu arrived, I was surprised to see very reasonable prices... Then we ordered: beef salad, the fried pork / cheese tart (the special that day), the beef egg noodle soup and the pan seared pork ribs. Every dish was fantastic. Can't wait to return, which will be easy since it's a 3 min walk from my house. Try it soon!!

The best Vietnamese restaurant in Taiwan so far. Just when I was mostly disappointed by the quality of Vietnamese food in Taipei, I became determined to try every place I could before I leave. This place (Phoever or Phoeva) was recommended by a friend who use to live in Kaohsiung. I ordered the chicken pho, Spring rolls, & Vietnamese coffee with coconut milk. The broth of the chicken noodle soup was delicious. The spring rolls tasted as usual, and the coffee reminded me of the time I visited VN. I definitely will stop by if I’m ever in town.

This place was amazing! Everything so good! Tons of vegetarian options. Highly recommend the sour/spicy soup.
