More Comments at Google MapWait-time: It was about an hour wait, but the process is very streamlined so there are no complaints here. You first check-in to get a queue number, and then you can leave to either browse the Taipei 101 mall or go elsewhere until your queue number is ready for seating. On the queue number ticket they give you they have a link to a website where you can place your order in advance as well as check the current queue numbers (the queue numbers are ordered numerically so it is easy to estimate if your queue number is almost being called). Service: Very diligent and professional service, staff was always available to re-fill our tea and water. Interestingly, this store also uses a robot to guide you to your seat. This store is seems to be quite accustomed to tourists/travelers as they ask what country you are from when you sign up for the waitlist, presumably to better accommodate people from different countries. Food: High level of consistency in terms of good quality food. Out of all the dishes, I would recommend their signature dumplings (my favorite was the fish dumplings) and fried rice.
Very tasty dumplings! Also enjoyed their fried rice and noodles. The restaurant is large but very popular so expect to queue for a table. The process of queuing is very well organised. You collect a ticket, with different queues based on the number of people in your group. The ticket gives you an estimated wait time as well as a code to place your order online while you wait - saving you time when your table is available. The last order is at 8:30pm - you do not have to leave at this time, so would arrive by 19:45 latest if you want to have dinner there.
Absolutely worth the wait. The Xiaolongbao skin is super thin, the filling is very meaty and lots of soup inside. Service is excellent. Get a waiting ticket and then visit the 101 observatory. After that enjoy super delicious dumplings!
