Appearances can be deceiving! From the outside this restaurant looks unassuming, but once you're inside the food is incredible. They have a menu that is partially core dishes, and partially daily specials made from whatever is freshest and best that day. The curry shrimp toast is 100% must-get if you visit.

This was one of the best eating experiences on my trip around Taiwan. They didn't seem to have a menu (at least not in English), but the friendly waiter just suggested me some options and it all worked out well. The pork salad with fruits and the fried chicken were both so incredibly delicious! I also had a soup with lilles, which is a seasonal speciality in the area, also worth trying. The service was quick and incredibly kind, which further added to the pleasant atmosphere. They even offered me drinks on the house. The place did seem to be very popular with the locals, so if you're in a bigger group, maybe calling in advance is a good idea.

It's a surprise that I am able to have a wonderful lunch on the way to 池上。The food is really amazing and the chef was able to cook the food with different style to make it tast so good. The chicken and curry prawns are Thai style while the tofu dish takes some craftsmanship to make it. It's a 5 stars surprised and got to come back next time.
