More Comments at Google MapA clean and comfortable a/c place to enjoy Tainan dining. All the food is very good. The taro cake was the pleasant surprise for me. Expectation was moderate but the taste was really good. For a hyped up traditional brand name, they delivered good outcome. Service was friendly and prompt. We tried for dinner a couple of weeks ago but was a long wait. This time, we came 140pm on Thursday and no wait. A large menu with too many choices. The original shop decades ago served the dang dang noodle. The noodle today is not as good as that old dingy shop 41 years ago. But fond memories has a way with pleasing the brain.
There's plenty of seating with takes with chairs, and other lower tables with traditional stools. The decor is enchanting, with all artifacts displayed against the walls, and old photos. The restroom upstairs had a beautiful entrance with stones on the floor and a tree truck mural. The good was excellent. I recommend what we had: braised pork with rice, monkfish belly, and a very copious oyster omelette. The oysters were very flavourful. The staff was kind and very helpful. We realized as we were going out that they had closed for their afternoon break half an hour earlier, but they had not told us, as they wanted us to enjoy the experience.
I recently visited 度小月, a restaurant specializing in local Tainan cuisine, and I was thoroughly impressed by the authentic flavors and knowledgeable staff. The dishes we ordered were perfect for sharing, and I particularly enjoyed their Tainan-style beef soup and oyster omelet. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make 度小月 a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking to try some of Tainan's most beloved and delicious dishes. I highly recommend sampling some of their authentic specialties, and I can't wait to come back and try more!
