It's rare to find real Taiwanese porridge with real ingredients these days when prices are skyrocketing. I usually pass by it and it looks inconspicuous, but... after I actually order it, I can only say "reality". The proprietress and her son were very talkative. They said that they had been serving Chef Wu’s porridge for N years when they opened a shop on Guixing Road, but they had just moved here to restart the business in the past few months. The basic model starts at NT$60, and when you dig into the porridge, it is really as thick as rice grains, rather than watery rice soup. Ordering the preserved egg and lean meat (egg with preserved egg~whole) and lean meat only costs 60 yuan. Now the price of eggs is amazing, tsk tsk... If you dare to give it, and it is solid and good, I will give you 100 points. I tried seafood noodles for the first time tonight, and I was surprised when it was served! The portion is quite large, including 2 shrimps, clams, eggs, fish balls, crab sticks, shredded pork (it tastes pickled and tender), cabbage, spring-toothed udon noodles, and the highlight is the rich and sweet soup. Not oily. Highly recommend this bowl of seafood noodles. The portion is big enough for boys. I even drank the whole bowl and the soup. I ate at this restaurant near the intersection of Nanya Night Market from Guoguang Road and Dazhi Street. The taste, portion, and consistency are worth recommending. #Next time I will try the milk cheese pot~
