Traditional dry noodles in Taipei you must try! Simple but pretty tasty. Noodles was chewy. Added black vinegar, chili oli and chili flakes(this was so good). Wonton with poached egg broth was nice, too. Very crowded during lunchtime but do not wait so long. Friendly service and super cheap.

Simple, cheap and nourishing noodles packed with flavor! Popular with the locals for good reason - consistently Good, fast service and efficient friendly staff -~ be prepared for a 10-15min wait line during peak lunch hours! The star of the show is the dry noodles with pork sauce. Add a gooey poached egg and customize it with condiments like black vinegar, chilli flakes, white pepper and chili oil and enjoy! The texture of the noodles is bouncy and Q, and it's so filling and satisfying to eat ~ Other popular sides are the meatball soup with poached egg which has a very light traditional tasting broth, good with white pepper! And I loved the cold side dish of tofu skin~ Everything I ordered (small pork dry noodles, meatball and egg soup, tofu skin side dish) was all for under 100nt 😋 so worth it ♡

It is indeed a Soochow delicacy. The dough is relatively tough and tastes great when chewed. I always order sesame paste noodles with egg buns and a plate of dried shredded noodles. Personally recommended ways to eat: First of all, eat the noodles themselves to experience the most original and simple flavor. Next, add the egg buns, press out the egg juice and mix it with the dough to feel the moister texture and egg flavor. Third, add the dried shredded noodles and stir. The original egg flavor and crispy dried shredded noodles will make this bowl of noodles even more perfect. You will finish this bowl of noodles by this point, so there is no fourth step XD
