Zhongzheng District, Taipei City｜Lao Wang Ji Beef Noodles

A noodle shop that’s been serving beef soup for (literally) decades. The menu is limited to two or three options. There are no vegetarian dishes other than the pickled cabbage. The local beef is tender and generously portioned. The noodles are al denté and satisfying to chew. The broth is more flavor and less salt, which stands out from some of the cheaper shops. Prepare to wait in line and if necessary, to share a table with strangers. It’s all part of eating like a local. Very recommended.

I can’t express how delicious this was. There is a line but luckily most of it is in the shade and it moves quick. The beef is so unbelievably tender and the broth is delicious. There’s a reason why on a street full of beef noodle restaurants this one is always busy.
