Wanhua District, Taipei City｜Jianhong Beef Noodles

The beef soup was really good! Lots of tender pieces of beef and tendon. The noodles were pretty firm and chewy. The soup, which you can refill, was not too salty. It had a mellow but deep flavour to it. They have pickled veggies at the table side which you can just add to your soup. The hot sauce looks like salmon roe at first, with a bright orange colour, but once you put it into the soup, it melts and forms bits of spicy oil droplets. Adding a bit to the soup adds some kick to it, which I recommend. Service is pretty quick. You can choose a selection of side dishes, from tofu to cucumbers. The people are very nice too.

In my opinion, this is one of the best beef noodles in Taipei! The beef was nicely braised and the broth was great. You could also customise your noodles with spicy tallow, chilli paste… etc. On top of that, the price makes it a bang for your buck! You definitely should visit this place if you are a street food/beef noodles lover!

Alright, drove by because I was craving some serious beef noodle soup. Wife and kid was in the car tearing everything apart, my queue for a smoke break. Ok, like what is up with this store? I ordered food for 2 people and DAYUM they gave me enough to feed a fam of 5. Like seriously thanks a lot ya’ll not easy these days making ends meet but you really made sure we are gonna be fed. Taste was out of this world, make sure to use the spicy condiments on the table and… I’m sure I just got lucky and took someone else’s order (OoOooh That gnashing of teeth and cryin’ in pain) I’ll be back just to make sure it wasn’t a coincidence.
