Super warm and friendly proprietors who take pride and care in preparing their food. Japanese food done properly. Nicely decorated shop too. Rice and miso soup can be topped up. Very reasonable price. Had a nice chat with the lady boss after dinner. Sad to hear that their business has not recovered since covid. She also recommended places for us to visit in Taipei. Sincerely feel they deserve to have better business. Highly recommend this shop!

A Taiwanese-style Japanese restaurant that found accidentally because of the long queue at the beef noodle shop next to it. Musashi (武藏) was founded in 1947. The store in the alley seems time had been put temporarily on hold while stepped into. The chefs in the store and the aunts who serve outside are all silver age. The dining environment is ordinary, the dining utensils are ordinary, but the dishes have chef's unique warmth tasted. If there is the opportunity to order Oden, the taste of dipping sauce is a historical memory. A plate of seemingly plain Japanese-style cold noodles is a plain taste that does not pursue fashion salty, but the pleasantly chewying of the noodles is beyond doubt.

Passed by this restaurant in a small alley. Very friendly lady. I got a big set menu for only $300 The food was good and service was quick. Menu only in Chinese and we were the only ones in the restaurant. So the atmosphere was not that cozy. Overal very satisfied with the meal.
