More Comments at Google MapI come from San Francisco, which has some renown for brunch - but if you teleported KSS Sandwich to San Francisco they'd easily be in the top 5 breakfast destinations in the city! I tried a pork chop sandwich and a ham sandwich, both of which I absolutely loved. I also got to sample their drip coffee and a latte which were rich and chocolatey. The restaurant is run by a group of high school classmates (hence the name), and you can really taste the love they put into their food. The menu is full of dishes that are uniquely Taiwanese... you won't find these on the mainland! Taipei locals already know and love this place, so my review is aimed at Americans feeling a little homesick for breakfast (since Taiwanese breakfast sandwiches resemble something you might find back home). Get going a little early and stop by before you visit the Chiang Kai-Shek memorial! Seating is a bit tight for us larger western folk, but they will prepare takeout. If you're eating in the restaurant, they have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as free WiFi.
The sandwiches are soft and delicious, and the ham is made of meat, not the commercially available floury one. Fresh milk is also very rich
This was the place I fell in love with the Taiwanese breakfast sandwich. KSS was part of the wave of new school breakfast toastie I think? It was so good the first time I had it and it’s still so good!
