Datong District, Taipei City｜Lai Ji Oyster Omelet

The skin of oyster omelette has a crispy texture, which is very unique. I hope that every time I eat it, it will be crispy.

Aunty who managed the queue was very lovely and hospitable. She was very nice while taking orders and ushering us in when it was time to be seated. We ordered 2 dishes: oyster omelette($80) and sesame oil pig's kidney soup ($120). I saw some comments on google about the price versus quantity of the food and indeed, quantity of the kidney was abit lesser than what I hoped for and the size of oysters were definitely a shocker. Oysters in the omelette were about the size of a $1 coin in height. :( BUT, I really like that the ingredients were fresh and the food was well cooked and tasty! I am usually averse to pig's kidney but I ate this without hesitation. Good taste. Slight wait for the seats during peak hours but again, aunty was very nice.

Stir-fried sesame oil waist is also delicious!
