Da’an District, Taipei City｜Hang Zhou Xiao Long Bao (Da'an)

Recommend by a young local chef and we really enjoyed it. Although there was a line, it moves fast. We had the XLB with pork and onion and the dumpling with pork and vegetables; both were amazingly good. The flavors popped and the dough/wrapper was tender and cooked just right. When you arrive, go to the front counter and tell the host how many are in your party. She will give you a small clipboard with an order sheet and your number. Ask for a menu. Decide what you want and the quantity and mark it down. When your number is displayed on the screen, go to be seated. The food comes out quickly in bamboo steamer baskets. There are several condiments at a self service table along with spoons, chopsticks and napkins. I was very pleased with the everything, especially the incredible food.

If you're looking for xiao long bao in TaiWan I would 100% recommend this! We went at 6.45pm and waited half an hour to get our seats for table. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The xiao long bao here was excellent, soup tasted brothy and flavourful, with a lot of meat. Skin was not too thick as well. I also loved the red bean pancake, not too sweet, came hot and piping! Wasn't a fan of the pot stickers or the beef rolls, but my husband loved them.

Would definitely recommend eating here! The price is okay. The quantity per order is good. The quality and taste of the food is very very good. Ate here last 2018 and came back 2023. The food is still really really good.
