It has always been a good place to bring friends from overseas to try Taiwanese cuisine or just regular gatherings with local friends here. The food and atmosphere are great. We probably ordered too much but it is very satisfying. Highly recommend to everyone.

I first heard of this place on Anthony Bourdain’s Layover Tapei episode. It’s located in a nice neighborhood with a lot of Japanese restaurants nearby. Food was delicious, service was prompt, and the setting evokes a Japanese style Izakaya. I went solo and ordered several dishes, but probably best to go here as a group to try more things. I particularly recommend the fried red eels and preserved radish omelette.

2023 👍 This place is known by tourists because Anthony Bourdain visited and the only place he loves in Taiwan. But this is also a local favorite with neighbor gatherings or just for every day dinner . I am one of the lucky ones now I frequent here whenever I am at home in Taipei.
