Zhongshan District, Taipei City｜AE dumplings

I have to admit, this place really did impress me. Looking at the reviews, and the photos of the dumplings, I was not really convinced that such plain looking dumplings can taste that great. However, when these piping hot dumplings were served, one bite of it surprised me. Chock full of pork and shrimp, the taste was very flavorful, even on its own. There are a variety of sauces to choose from, but I love the thick soy sauce with garlic and spicy oul sauce. The minced meat noodles were also above average - tasty sauce and bouncy noodles. Will be back for those dumplings 😍

They make dumplings from scratch at the front, each dumplings is NT$6, leek spout with shrimp dumpling is the only flavor they have. There’s always a long queue during lunch hour, so I visited at 4pm to avoid the crowds, staff was very polite and serving was fast. Dumplings and soup both were tasty and good quality. 👏👏

As far as each dumpling is wrapped with a shrimp, 6 yuan per piece is really good, and it is not too small, slightly better than Fatty Zhou's 8 yuan. There is really a long queue every time I come. (2017/5 revisit)
