Zhongshan District, Taipei City｜Hong Fan Tian Live Seafood Restaurant

It is a happening place when I visited. Many locals go into this restaurant and have bonding sessions. You can even order sashimi inside. The menu is in Chinese (bummer if you can't read Chinese characters). Highly recommend the squid sausage and the salted tofu. The stir-fried beef is nicer than the steak version (very tough). The frog soup is huge and easily can serve up to 4 pax (warning! only a small amount of meat). You will have to self-serve rice (rice cooker at the counter) and cold drinks (from the fridge). The shrimp ball was nice just too much mayonnaise.

Reasonable price and you get some amazing dinning experience and special dishes that you not usually have in Taiwan

Casual traditional Taiwanese restaurant with a wide selection of food and self-service beer fridge. There are also “traditional” 酒促小姐 (beer girls) dressed up in beer companies clothes refilling alcohol for customers. Food is delicious and cheap. The restaurant also provides boxes to stow your bags and coats away in. Recommended! Need to give them a phone call to book in advance, as it can get very busy.
