Da’an District, Taipei City｜Kao Family Cold Noodle

Solid restaurant for Taiwanese cold noodles (涼麵). Their noodles come with egg noodles coated lightly in oil, served with cucumber slivers and a sesame-based sauce, plus a small teaspoonful of ground garlic. Tasty. Small serving was enough for me, but they do offer a larger size. Their cucumber side dish has an interesting crunch and flavour, slightly spicy, refreshing in the heat. Decor is non-descript, not much to write home about, but that’s completely acceptable in an establishment like this. Cash only!

the atmosphere was my favourite across all restaurants ive visited in taipei very friendly staff and cute store the cold noodles were very yum and i asked for extra garlic in mine the side dishes are great as well - recommend the tofu dish and duck blood dish the owner smiles and checks in on you as he walks past to see if you are enjoying you’re food although all we did was just smile and put our thumbs up at each other, he touched my heart 😭

Good tasting cold noodles, definately worth a try. Portion size is pretty big, the noodles sauce was just right, while the soup tasted good too. Service was good, owner was very friendly, overall an enjoyable meal.
