Da’an District, Taipei City｜明洞館

We randomly found this place when we were looking for a place to eat with our two year old. The restaurant staff were very kind and accommodating in providing for our toddler. My wife ordered the Bimbimbap and I had the Min Dong Spicy Pork. The food came out hot and delicious. The portion sizes were also good. But, the best thing about this restaurant is the chef. When I wanted to make some changes to the spice level of my food, he came to the table and explained it would ruin the flavor of the dish. He agreed to lower the spice as much as he could, without affecting the flavor. He also explained the proper way to eat the dish, so that I would enjoy it the most. There are a lot of restaurants in Taipei, but this one is special because the chef cares about what he’s making. If I lived in Taipei, I would come here often, just so I could support a restaurant that actually cares about the food it’s serving.

This Korean restaurant is over ten years, and it is always good for me 🥰

The food was good and the ambiance seems to be similar to how it is in South Korea. You have barbeque or just order other things such as bibimbap, chapjae, etc. The menu has English and also has pictures so ordering is easy. We paid through cash but was not sure if foreign credit cards are accepted.
