Tried their grilled eel on rice 🤩🤩🤩 my new found favourite!!! It’s been challenging to find a grilled eel place around this neighbourhood, and I’m so glad that I stumbled across Ootaya! It was the perfect thickness and texture! Probably should have asked for more rice…but oh well. The dessert was also very tasty! I especially enjoyed the warabi mochi with syrup (didn’t care much for the ice cream). The interior is a wee bit dark (?). Could be because of the lighting or fixtures…you can tell the restaurant has seen some years, so maybe it’s time to uplift/revamp the restaurant’s interior to appeal to more customers?
