More Comments at Google MapEating is a very subjective thing, it represents how you feel at the moment! 2018.01.25 First visit Today I went to Menyaen to taste ramen, but all the online recommendations were for tsukemen, so I had to find another time to try it again. The entrance of Menyaen’s shop is full of Kyoto style, and the decoration inside the shop is also pretty good. The whole place has a very simple and high-end feel. The seats are all at the bar, which can accommodate about ten guests. There are also chairs in the back! The menus are all on the table. What is different here is that the waiter will put tea in a small pot instead of providing water, which is different from the ramen shops I have eaten in before! This time I ordered tonkotsu fish noodle soup (210 grams) and lava chocolate! While waiting, I noticed that there were many small toys on the bar table. I heard that they were for chopsticks, but I didn’t check! The seasoning is the general to the chili and so on... The protagonist is served. The store uses homemade whole wheat noodles, which are completely different from the noodles used in ordinary ramen. The soup tastes very good, rich but not overly salty and can be easily drank. However, the consistency is thicker than I expected. It's a little thinner, the noodles are moderately soft, and the whole wheat noodles are chewier and full of texture! The soft-boiled eggs were also in a perfect paste shape, and the barbecued pork was average, nothing special! The dessert was as I expected, not too surprising, and the taste was okay, but it was not overly sweet, which was acceptable! Chocolate still has a good taste as he served it! Overall, it’s an approachable bowl of noodles, but it doesn’t interest me much. Maybe I should try tsukemen or other flavors next time~
📌Pomelo cold noodles 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 💬Limited in summer, the noodles are chewy and the yuzu sauce has a strong aroma. After mixing well, the taste matches well, but the soup that comes with it is slightly inferior. 📌Curry noodle soup 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 💬The curry soup is cooked with great care, and the taste is quite strong. It is very powerful when paired with soba noodles to balance the salty taste of the soup! 📌Hijiki Tsukudani 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 💬The taste is mediocre when eaten alone, but the matching taste is amazing when paired with cold noodles. 📣This is the second time to dine here. The overall feeling of the two meals is very good. Although the store space is not big, there are only bar seats. You can easily eat ramen without feeling oppressed. The tea is delicious, and the store manager patiently asks the customers what to order, and the delivery speed is quite fast. 💵Cash only 🅿️Nearby parking lot about 5 minutes
On Monday, Menu Yuen only served curry rice. I ordered the barbecued pork curry rice, which had soft and tender barbecued pork. The warm and rich curry was full of mushrooms, carrots, onions and other sweet vegetables. It was served with half a piece of pork. Salty and sweet eggs with candied filling, you can eat all the rice in just a few bites. The onion soup that comes with the meal is also delicious. Although it is just onions and carrots, it is sweet and refreshing. Today I also ordered a small plate of pickled kelp sprouts and cucumbers, which are sour and sweet, and are very satisfying to eat with curry rice.
