Da’an District, Taipei City｜夫妻肺片麻辣火鍋

It’s a 31 years old spicy hot pot restaurant. The owner was very friendly, recommended some dishes and chatted with us. It provides tofu and the duck blood cake for free. The spicy soup was really good. The owner said that they cook it with many Chinese herbs, not putting any chili powder or chili oil in it.

Love the soup base. Very flavorful. Staff was teaching us how to season the broth for drinking and making it into a dipping sauce as well. It's amazing good. I usually dip my meat in some sauce, but didn't need a sauce here Cuz the soup is so good.

The soup is rich and not too salty, the food is delicious and fresh, and the price is reasonable. The duck blood tofu is generous and filling. Although the store is not new, it is clean and does not affect the meal. It is recommended.
