Songshan District, Taipei City｜新四海豆漿

A lot of Taiwanese breakfast places closes on Sunday. After searching on the web, I discovered nearby 新四海豆漿. Arrived early and there was a long queue already. I ordered a few soy bean milk and sticky rice rolls to-go. By they time I got home, all the sticky rice rolls were still super crunchy, along with the right amount of pork floss and preserved vegetables. Their soy bean milk were smooth and with a hint of nutty texture! 新四海豆漿 is now one of my favorite Taiwanese breakfast restaurant!

I visited for two days in a row and ordered different items: egg cakes, soy milk, pot stickers, fried buns, steamed buns, salty soy milk, and fried dough sticks. I tried them all except sesame cakes. Generally speaking, Taipei tastes lighter, but this restaurant is more heavy-flavored, which suits my taste buds. The boss’s homemade garlic sauce is a plus, but the boss is so talkative whenever he has time hahaha~ If I had to choose a favorite, I would choose Xiao Long Bao!

I love 豆漿 and 蛋餅 so I search and try each one when I visit Taipei. This is one that is closest to my hotel. You can always find 五湖豆漿四海豆漿 everywhere and this one is another variation. Surprisingly it is very tasty. In the early morning there is already a long time but not as many people as 阜杭豆漿 but the quality is comparable. I will save some time by going here instead. Highly recommended for visitors around this neighborhood.
