Kona has built a fantastic coffee experience that I feel fortunate to be part of. I will echo what several others recommended and that is to come here for at least 1 hour to enjoy and savor the amazing coffee and experience. It is the classic Viennese experience which you won’t get in Vienna anymore. Thank you Kona for the highlight of my time in Taipei! And I love the recommendations you provided!

An exquisite experience! Found the shop following glowing reviews and was not disappointed. A nice calm atmosphere, only low music, which made it easy to talk. The barista is full of knowledge, and prepares coffee both with his espresso machine and his preferred method - the karlsbader. They roast their own coffee and have a nice selection in delicate desserts. They have many different types of coffee to sample, and are not afraid to recommend something, the people who work there are gentle and knowledgeable. One of the coffees I tried was a very nice Laurina coffee, which I have never tried before. It was creamy with a long aftertaste with hints of walnuts. Recommended, if it is available. You should try to get a reservation before you arrive. There are just a few seats. I will for sure the next time I come back. This place is so good that I will make sure to book a hotel near by next time I visit Taipei.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT enter this joint unless you have 90 minutes or more to to kill. If you just want a caffeine fix, go to that Louisa Coffee right next door. Coming here is an occasion. You are here because you want to be in the company of coffee fanatics who will blow your mind with their crazy Viennese-style concoctions. Nowhere in Taipei will you find coffee presented to you with such insane attention to detail. The experience can only be described as theatrical. If you enjoy coffee, be here.
