I only tried the 碗粿 (wah kuay) from the menu. The cake itself wasn't gooey, and the flavors of the other components such as mushrooms, pork, salted egg yolk, and more were quite good. On its own, the dish was already well executed, but an additional layer of enjoyment was discovered when I added their homemade chili oil and garlic paste. With those condiments, the aroma of the entire dish elevated it to another level. I truly relished this experience and found myself returning multiple times.

Old but gold. This "chwee kueh" as Singaporeans would relate this to, looks simple but packs a flavourful punch. The portions may not be the largest, but they're not expensive either! You'll leave this place feeling all satisfied. It's hard to find, a hole in the wall kind of spot, hidden in a small alleyway, but do try to find them! It's worth every cent and every moment of the search. They also sell soups, drinks, and other meatball products, all really good!

A real traditional 60 years old store with good service. The 碗粿。is a must try. It is so so tasty. Not over salty though. The chilli is spicy and the kick is there. Food for thought - Good to go during off peak so as to be able to savour the food slowly soaked in the traditional store ambience
