More Comments at Google MapSome of the best curry katsu I’ve ever eaten. Chicken is tempura fried, leading to some very crunchy and delicious textures, while the pork is the more traditional panko bread crumb fried katsu. Very reasonable price for a super filling portion. Vegetables were very fresh and crisp, and the egg was a really unique and delicious texture. Highly recommend, an absolute must-try.
Many people recommend me this place and they all give great reviews about the restaurant as well, finally one day I finally decided to try it myself. The place itself although not exactly close with MRTs or Buses, but it’s not hard to find, because you’ll immediately see people queueing even before the restaurant is open. They have a machine right outside the door where you can order the food, and you have to order and pay first before you can enter the queue, so no running away or cancellation in the middle of queueing. The place itself is rather small, with few seating only. Many people (understandably) order for takeaways. I ordered dine it with a friend, and we waited for some time but not too long (around 15-20 minutes). The price is very suitable for working people or students, especially in Taipei, I personally think it’s quite affordable, especially with the amount they gave. The food came shortly after we got seated, so it’s still nice and warm. The pork cutlet is very juicy and the curry is seasoned to perfection. They uniquely gave a slice of apple, which helps with the oily nature of the pork cutlet. I also ordered a takeaways and it took me over an hour to go back home, but the pork cutlet is still juicy and crisp, the curry is also warm. Nice packaging there. Overall, no wonder the price has many glowing reviews.
I have been living nearby. This restaurant has been open for a long time. There are always people in front of the store during meal times. I haven’t eaten yet at 8:30 on Friday night. There are only 4-5 people passing by the store. I simply give it a try and take away Tang Yang Chicken from the ordering machine. The curry is 165 yuan per serving, and there is no extra price when adding rice. I thought it was a bit expensive at first, so I couldn’t wait to open it when I got home. Just four pieces of fried chicken as big as a kid’s fist are worth almost 165 yuan! ! However, the curry I like may be on the sweet side, but this one is on the aromatic side, which does not affect the 5 stars (not photographed). I’m sorry that I haven’t purchased one in so many years. I also attached an English translation.
